Adult golf
Beginning golf lessons for adults are offered by the staff at Mississippi National on Wednesdays beginning April 18. The class will meet at the driving range from 6 to 7 p.m. for four weeks. Learn the fundamentals of the game in a fun group setting. You must provide your own clubs. Cost is $40.
Junior golf
Get instruction from Nate Petric and the staff at Mississippi National in the lifetime sport of golf. Lessons for ages 9–12 will be 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays beginning April 18 and running for four weeks. Cost is $40. You must provide your own clubs. Meet at the clubhouse for the first week.
Gymnastics
New sessions of gymnastics classes begin the week of April 9 for ages 2 and older. Classes are early evenings or Saturdays as the Red Wing Gymnastics Center. Check out the Community Ed/Rec website for class details.
Tae kwon do
New sessions of tae kwon do will begin April 10 and meet Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Red Wing High School lower H pod. Beginning students meet at 7 p.m. and advanced students at 8 p.m. Cost for the 12-session class is $40. The class is for anyone aged 6 and older, adults and kids are welcome. Uniforms are required and available from the instructor Randy Ash ($29-$37).
Adult kickball
Community Rec will hold an organization meeting for adult kickball at 7 p.m. Wednesday April 11 in Red Wing High School room J108 (enter door 10). Teams should send a representative. Play is Wednesday nights at A.P. Anderson Park. The season runs from mid-May through July. Team fee is $225 per team. Teams are coed and you must have a minimum of four women on the field. Elementary sports
Elementary All Sports after-school program at Burnside School for grades 2–4 will be Thursdays beginning March 22 from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. We will play any game that is suitable for the gym including kickball, medic, relay races, and everlasting tag. The class runs for four weeks (no class April 5). Cost $10.
