Adult kickball league meeting

Community Recreation organizes an adult kickball league. There will be an organizing meeting Wednesday, April 11, at 7 p.m. at the RWHS, room J108 (enter door #10). Teams should send a representative to the meeting. We play on Wednesday nights at AP Anderson Park. The season runs from mid-May through July. Team fee is $225 per team. Teams are coed and you must have a minimum of four women on the field. Kickball league is great for businesses, neighborhood groups or a group of friends. Contact Dave Borgen for more information.

Senior basketball

There will be no senior basketball at Burnside gym on Thursday March 15 due to a school concert.

Elementary sports

Elementary All Sports after-school program at Burnside School for grades 2–4 will be Thursdays beginning March 22 from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. We will play any game that is suitable for the gym including kickball, medic, relay races, and everlasting tag. The class runs for four weeks (no class April 5). Cost $10.

Baseball clinic

Join Coach Bohmbach and members of the Winger baseball team for great instruction and fun. The clinic will cover throwing, fielding, batting, pitching and catching. The clinics will be held March 17 and March 24. There will be separate clinics for grades 2–4 and also for grades 5–8. Grades 2–4 will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. and grades 5–8 will meet from noon to 2:30 p.m. The clinic will be held at the Red Wing High School gym. Bring your glove, cap and gym shoes. The two-day clinic will focus on defense on March 17 and offense on March 24. The clinic is designed as a two-day clinic, but you may register for an individual session. The two-day clinic cost is $30. The one-day clinic cost is $18. Proceeds from the clinic benefit the Winger Baseball program.
