Pvt. Anthony Towner of Red Wing earned the title “U.S. Marine” upon graduating from Marine Corps recruit training in San Diego Jan. 13.
Pvt. Anthony Towner of Red Wing earned the title “U.S. Marine” upon graduating from Marine Corps recruit training in San Diego Jan. 13. He completed a 13-week boot camp designed to enhance raw talent and create the morale and discipline required of all Marines.
During recruit training, he learned military customs and courtesies, mastered close-order drill and honed vital military skills such as marksmanship, first-aid, martial arts and leadership.
He is the son of Kurtis and Rhonda Towner or Red Wing.
