At the Dec. 28 Belle Creek Town Board I had one goal. That was to look over the financials from 2011 because I have an issue with the way my tax money was spent without my vote on an appeal for the wind farm.
I sat through the meeting, quietly taking notes and minding my own business. I was no doubt disappointed by the behavior of many adult attendees.
Respectable people do not jump from a chair, slide across the floor and approach a complete stranger and badger her for 15 minutes about how much they hate the wind company. They also don’t have their cohorts standing in the way of the exit, nor do they make anyone feel unsafe to attend a township meeting.
Respectable people do not verbally attack someone speaking to the board on their view of how the board’s decision was to appeal and misuse taxpayer money. And then talk about this speaker behind his back when he leaves the meeting. I did not think any of the attendees’ comments were funny.
Having Peter Mastic arrested for not having Minnesota license plates on his vehicle when he parks it in the township hall lot? Having the wind company pave the roads because the trucks driving on them will create dust and you don’t want your neighbor’s new born baby to breathe it in? Asking Xcel for a meeting at the Town Hall and then not even cleaning the place first? Embarrassing.
Shame on you, people, for violating my rights to attend township meetings. I don’t care that you hate the wind company, and I don’t care who you are.
Is this really what you people do at these meetings? You are out of control, your desperation shows.
