Board votes on salaries
Red Wing School Board members voted 5-0 Monday to approve a salary of $71,967 for Interim Director of Community Education, Recreation and Communications Dawn Wettern through June 30.
The salary pays for an additional 20 days of work this year and a monthly stipend of $2,500 for Wettern’s work as interim director.
The board also approved a salary of $80,000-$98,000 for the community education director beginning July 1, in addition to authorizing Supt. Karsten Anderson to post for a director of teaching and learning position at a salary range of $90,000-$120,000.
Board will evaluate Anderson
Supt. Karsten Anderson asked board members Monday to take a survey evaluating his work with the district up to this point. The survey also will be given to administrators in Red Wing schools.
“All administrators should be able to get feedback not just from their supervisors, but also from their colleagues,” Anderson said.
