RED WING PORT AUTHORITY
Sealed proposals marked “Dredging and Dewatering”- will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 315 West Fourth Street, Red Wing, MN 55066 (651-385-3601) until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, for furnishing of all labor and materials required for Mechanical dredging, and dewatering associated with the dredging of the Little River and the entrance and inside the harbor of Colvill Marina, in Red Wing.
The Major items of Work are:
Mobilization Lump Sum
Mechanical Dredge 1,000 Cubic Yards more or less
For Colvill Marina
-13,000 Cubic Yards more or less for the Little River Dredge
Hauling and Stockpiling Dredge Materials 8,000 cubic yards
Note: The two dredging projects must be done at the same time to eliminate two mobilization charges and must be completed prior to April 1, 2012.
The bid should include survey work of the area and design of the channel with a minimum depth of 11’ for the Little River Dredge.
A certified check, cashier’s check or bidder’s bond shall accompany each bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid made payable to the Red Wing Port Authority, which shall be forfeited to the Red Wing Port Authority in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract with the Red Wing Port Authority. The contractor shall furnish the owner within ten (10) days after the contract is awarded, a bond executed by a surety company approved by the owner in the full amount of the contract and conditioned as provided by the General Statutes of this State. The contractor shall be executed by a surety company authorized to do business within the State of Minnesota and having a minimum A.M. Best Rating of B+. The term of the bond will be (2) years from the date of final acceptance.
The Red Wing Port Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive informalities.
