Heilman-Strand wedding

Katherine Marie Heilman and Nathan Richard Howard Strand were married Dec. 10, 2011, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. The Revs. Randy Brandt and Rob Norris-Weber officiated.

She is the daughter of Barb and Dann Heilman of Red Wing. He is the son Pam Paulson, and Rick and Sherry Strand, all of Minneapolis.

Matron of honor was Heather Goss of St. Paul. Best man was Phill Strand of Minneapolis, brother of the groom.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, with degrees in biology and English. She received a master’s degree in youth and family ministry from Luther Seminary in St. Paul and is the director of youth ministry at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Apple Valley, Minn.

The groom also graduated from St. Olaf College in 1999, earning a bachelor’s degree in social studies education. He received a master’s degree in education from St. Mary’s University. He teaches economics and social studies at Burnsville High School.

They live in St. Paul.
