Place benefit will include taco feed, auction

A taco feed and silent auction fundraiser for Julie Place will run 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday March 3 at St. Bridget’s School, 211 E. Division St., River Falls.

Place, a nurse at River Falls Area Hospital, was diagnosed with breast cancer in November and won’t be able to return to work for months because of her illness.

Advance tickets can be purchased at Dish & The Spoon Café, River Falls, and Red Wing Christian Bookstore. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 12 and younger and $25 for a family. Cost for tickets at the door is $10 for adults, $7 for children and $30 for a family.

Monetary donations can be made out to “Benefit for Julie Place” and sent to WESTconsin Credit Union, 1207 N. Main St., P.O. Box 308, River Falls, WI 54022.
