NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR LIVESTOCK FEEDLOT PERMIT

Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes 116.07 subd. 7(a), that ClayView Dairy, LLP will be applying to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and Goodhue County for a permit to expand a feedlot with the capacity of 500 animal units or more.

The feedlot proposed to be expanded is located in the SE ΒΌ of Section 10 of Goodhue Township, T111N and R15W of Goodhue County, Minnesota.

The existing facility consists of total confinement barns housing 692 dairy cows over 1000 lbs (968.8 AU) and 20 calf huts housing 20 dairy calves (4 AU), an earthen liquid manure storage area, a manure stacking slab, feed storage areas, and a sand lane. The total existing animal units are 972.8.

The proposed facility consists of adding a total confinement barn housing 408 dairy cows over 1000 lbs (571.2 AU), an earthen liquid manure storage area, a separated sand stockpile pad, a sand lane, 180 additional calf huts housing 180 dairy calves (36 AU), and a feed pad runoff sediment basin. Total animal units after expansion will be 1580.

This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the expanding feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
