Boys Basketball: Goodhue eases past Triton

Senior Michael McNamara finished with 21 points, 13 rebounds and five assists to lead the Goodhue boys basketball team to a 64-38 victory over Triton Tuesday in Goodhue.

Senior Michael McNamara finished with 21 points, 13 rebounds and five assists to lead the Goodhue boys basketball team to a 64-38 victory over Triton Tuesday in Goodhue.

McNamara also had two blocks and two steals for the Wildcats (16-6, 8-4 HVL Blue). Junior Zach Hinsch contributed 12 points and junior Tyson Dicke added 10 points in the victory. Goodhue made 14 of 20 free-throw attempts but committed 16 turnovers.

Triton did not have a player scored in double figures but Myers scored a team-high nine points. Schaefer tallied seven points on 3 of 13 shooting.

The Wildcats led 41-24 at halftime and forced 14 turnovers.

Goodhue plays Bethany Academy Thursday in Bloomington.
