Fundraiser to be held for Schneider
A daylong fundraiser is planned for the family of the late Lake City police officer Shawn Schneider.
A daylong fundraiser is planned for the family of the late Lake City police officer Shawn Schneider, who died Dec. 30, 2011, from gunshot wounds he suffered while responding to a domestic call Dec. 19.
The fundraiser will be Saturday Feb. 25 at the Railhouse Grill in Lake City. It will start with breakfast at 10 a.m. and continue until midnight. Sixth Street Trio will perform live music starting at 8 p.m.
Tents will be set up outside for children’s games, and an ice bar will be featured. The event will also include a live and silent auction.
