Hot Reads brings mystery novelist to library

Mystery novelist Julie Kramer will appear at the Red Wing Library at 10 a.m. Saturday Feb. 25. This program is part of Hot Reads for Cold Nights, sponsored by Friends of the Red Wing Library and the Friends Book Club.

Kramer, a native Minnesotan, has had a distinguished career as a producer and reporter for television news. Her transition to mystery novelist began with her thriller “Stalking Susan” and continued with “Missing Mark,” “Silencing Sam” and “Killing Kate.”

She has won the Minnesota Book Award and the RT Book Review’s Best First Mystery. She has also been a finalist for the Anthony, Barry, Shamus, Mary Higgins Clark, and Daphe du Maurier awards.

There will be books for sale and the author will autograph them after the program, which is free and open to the public. There will be refreshments, door prizes and a special mystery quiz.
