Report on nuclear power plants' risk to water will be released

A new report from Environment Minnesota on the threat of nuclear power plants to Minnesota’s drinking water will be released next week in Red Wing.

A new report from Environment Minnesota on the threat of nuclear power plants to Minnesota’s drinking water will be released next week in Red Wing.

Spokeswomen from the Environment Minnesota and the Minnesota Public Interest Research Group will present the report, along with Kristen Eide-Tollefson from the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant study group. A spokesperson from the Prairie Island Indian Community also has been invited.

The event will take place 2 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 8 in the Red Wing Public Library.
