Maynard-Allen wedding

Carrie Renee Maynard and Michael John Allen were married on April 22, 2011, at the Goodhue County Justice Center in Red Wing. Court Administrator Yvonne Black officiated.

She is the daughter of David Maynard and Cathy Porter-Maynard of Hastings. He is the son of Marion Allen of Eau Claire, Wis., and the late John Allen.

She is a graduate of the University of South Dakota, with master's degrees in creative writing and sociology, and Bethel Seminary, with a master's degree in pastoral care. She is employed as a sociology instructor at Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical.

He is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, with a bachelor's degree in music education. He is employed as a technical illustrator at Skyline Displays in Eagan, Minn.

They live in Red Wing.
