Jutta Waltraud Goetz, 65, of Bemidji, Minn., passed away after her fourth battle with cancer in the last 12 years on Jan. 24 at her home.

Jutta Waltraud Goetz, 65, of Bemidji, Minn., passed away after her fourth battle with cancer in the last 12 years on Jan. 24 at her home.

A Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Bemidji Evangelical Covenant Church, Bemidji, with Pastor Dean Nelson officiating. Family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bemidji.

Jutta was born March 16, 1946, in Gillersdorf, Germany. She attended school in Lindach, Germany. She was married to 1LT David Goetz in Schwaebisch Gmund, Germany, on May 10, 1969.

Jutta was a former resident of Red Wing where she was active in the Mrs. Jaycees.

Jutta had leadership roles as president of the International Falls Figure Skating Club in 1986, Women's AGLOW, the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Recently, she was an active advocate and organizer of the Servants of Shelter (SOS) program at the Evangelical Covenant Church. She served as a leader in other programs at the church. She was a home school teacher for her daughter, Vanessa. One of her passions was having a semi-annual reunion with family in the Bemidji area.

Jutta is survived by her husband, David Goetz of Bemidji; her children, Tanja (Vance) Corrington of Bemidji, Carmen (Mike) Morehead of Big Lake, Minn., Amber (Scott) Lewis of Springfield, Mo., Kendra (Shaun) Lotter of Springfield, Mo., Vanessa Goetz of Bemidji; mother, Trudy Stall of Bemidji; brothers Wolfgang Stall of Lindach, Germany, Michael Stall of Germany; sister, Gloria Stall of Germany; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leopold Stall of Germany, and grandson, Casey Allen Lotter of Springfield, Mo.
