Townships will host silica sand mining workshop on Jan. 28

A silica sand mining workshop will be run 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday Jan. 28 at Florence Town Hall.

Participants will get updates on the status of mining in southeast Minnesota and learn what Wisconsin townships are doing to take action against mines. A kit of comprehensive planning and zoning information will be provided to township officials.
