It was a defensive battle between the Plum City girls basketball team and Mondovi Tuesday night with host Mondovi coming out on top 38-28.
The Blue Devils (3-3, 3-3 Dunn-St. Croix) were led by senior Tiffany Clare’s 10 points. Junior Marah Boyer added seven points and junior Heather Von Holtum grabbed 16 rebounds.
Jenna Franzwa led Mondovi (9-1, 6-0 Dunn-St. Croix) with nine points and Kaitlynne Dregney scored six points in the win.
Neither team got much going offensively in the first half as Mondovi took an 11-10 lead into halftime but Mondovi made three 3-pointers in the third quarter to open the game up a little bit, Plum City head coach John Pollock said.
Mondovi finished with five 3-pointers in the game.
The Blue Devils made 8 of 16 free throws.
Plum City hosts Elk Mound Friday.
