Fairview Ellsworth Clinic gets makeover

Fairview Ellsworth Clinic will close for day — Friday Jan. 27 — for refurbishing.

The Fairview Ellsworth Clinic was opened more than 25 years ago. Although it has had a number of updates through the years, the time came this year to do some major renovation, officials said.

To facilitate the upgrading and updating, the clinic will be closed Jan. 27. Patients needing an appointment that day will be able to see a provider in Red Wing either by scheduling an appointment — call 651-267-5000 or 1-866-297-9215 — or taking advantage of Urgent Care between noon and 8 p.m.

“Our technology and medical care reflects the latest in medical best practices,” said Scott Wordelman, president and CEO of Fairview Red Wing Health Services. “It was time to upgrade the finishes in the building. Years of usage take their toll on carpet, walls and other surfaces. Closing for one day will facilitate the makeover.”

Work on the building is scheduled to be completed in March. Fairview is planning a spring open house.
