Thomas Alan Starr, 19, resident of Goodhue, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 4, from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.
Thomas Alan Starr, 19, resident of Goodhue, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 4, from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.
He was born in Peoria, Ill., on Sept. 11, 1992, to Vicky Thompson Starr. They moved to Red Wing in 1995. Vicky married Bob Storing in 2002 and the family moved to Goodhue. Tom graduated from Goodhue High School in 2011. He was currently employed at AMG Alliance in Red Wing.
Tom developed a love for cars at a young age, attending car shows and car club activities. Tom also loved music, video games, hanging with friends, and he had a strong love for his family. Tom enjoyed spending time working for Habitat for Humanity. Tom was always there to help a friend.
He is survived by his mother and father, Vicky and Bob Storing; one brother, Christopher (Angela); one sister Rebecca (Chris); one nephew, Owen; his grandfather and grandmother, Quentin and Beverly Thompson; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and his girlfriend, Latisha Marx.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, with Reverend Tom Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ellsworth. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, and on Monday for 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
