Two people were injured Saturday evening when the snowmobile they were riding struck a house, the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Jarred Gordon, 29, of Betcher Trail in Belvidiere Township, was driving the vehicle up and down a gravel driveway at his residence just after 5 p.m. A passenger Tyler Dewel, 10, of Red Wing was seated in front of Gordon.

Witnesses said the pair was headed back toward the house when it sounded like the throttle on the snowmobile opened up. The vehicle struck a wooden landing before hitting the side of the house. Gordon and Dewel were ejected.

Both were flown from the scene to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, the sheriff’s department reported. Gordon was listed in fair condition as of Monday afternoon. A condition update was not available for Dewel.
