Community service
Red Wing High School students can earn a letter by completing 50 hours of community service. Information is available at the Community Rec office. To get started, students must complete a project proposal form and have your project(s) approved by the program coordinator.
Deadline to get your project started is Nov/ 23. Service hours will be counted through April 20 and there will be a recognition banquet May 2. Contact Dave Borgen for more information.
Gymnastics
New sessions of the Red Wing Gymnastics Center’s classes begin the week of Nov 7. Classes are offered for ages 2 and older and all ability levels. Check out the Community Rec website for specific class information or call with questions.
Elementary sports
Elementary All-sports is for grades 2–4 and meets Thursdays beginning Oct. 27. There are four sessions, with no class Nov. 17 and Nov. 24, from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. at the Burnside School gym. Game will include medic, relays, tag games and kickball. Cost is $10. Class size is limited.
