Stockholm featured for fall colors

As fall colors brighten up much of the area, Stockholm was recognized as one of the top 10 places in the country to check out the orange, yellow and red foliage.

Yahoo travel recently featured the Wisconsin village in its fall color roundup, citing the leaves alongside Maiden Rock Winery and Cidery, local food, antique and boutique shops and picturesque landscape as prime ways to experience the season.

Fall color reports show peak colors likely will hit the area just about now, in mid-October.

Stockholm was listed third, joined by towns in Pennsylvania, Arizona, Vermont, Arkansas, Oregon, Massachusetts, Michigan and California.

Earlier this autumn, AAALiving magazine highlighted Wisconsin’s Great River Road for foliate, starting with the Highway 35 leg from Prescott to Pepin, with Stockholm on the way.
