Nuclear plant conducting drills
Prairie Island nuclear plant will conduct a communications drill Tuesday Oct. 18. The event will test the communication capabilities of the agencies that would be involved in protection in the event of a nuclear incident involving hostile action.
Prairie Island nuclear plant will conduct a communications drill Tuesday Oct. 18. The event will test the communication capabilities of the agencies that would be involved in protection in the event of a nuclear incident involving hostile action.
The drill will include officials from Xcel Energy, Red Wing police, fire and ambulance departments, Prairie Island police, the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin and Goodhue and Pierce counties.
Activities will take place in and around the plant.
