Tigers fall hard to No. 4 Lourdes

The Lake City boys soccer team fell 9-0 to fourth-ranked Rochester Lourdes Thursday in Rochester.

The Eagles got the scoring going early as Tyler Sloan connected in the first minute of the game. Sloan struck again in the third minute and Alan Schembri-Wismayer added a goal in the sixth minute. Lourdes kept pouring it on in the 10th minute when Jack Convery scored. James Armstead scored in the 31st minute and the 32nd minute and Alex Gowan-Nuehring made it 7-0 with a goal in the 35th minute.

The Tigers (2-13, 1-6 HVL) gave up an own goal 10 minutes into the second half and Brian Williamson added another goal at the 25th minute mark of the second half.

Lake City played with just one sub and has been outscored 17-0 in its last two regular season games.
