Lake City girls soccer drops fifth in a row

Holly Peterson scored two goals and Laurel Ramer scored another for Kasson-Mantorville in a 4-0 victory over the Lake City girls soccer team in Kasson.

The game got off to a rough start for the Tigers (2-12, 1-5 HVL) when they had an own goal scored to make it 1-0. Peterson scored the first of her two goals seven minutes later and added another three minutes into the second half to hand Lake City its fifth consecutive loss.

Beth Peterson made nine saves for the Tigers, who had just three shots on goal against the KoMets (12-3) in the loss.

Lake City faces sixth-ranked Rochester Lourdes Thursday in Lake City in its last regular season game. Section seeding takes place Saturday and the section tournament will begin next Tuesday.
