Pine Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppa beat the Red Wing boys soccer team 2-0 Thursday in Pine Island.
It was the third consecutive shutout for the Wildcats (3-0) who have outscored opponents 15-0 to start the season.
Fredi Bormann scored an unassisted goal in the first half to give PIZM a 1-0 lead. Later in the second half Jacob Tschann headed home a goal off a corner from Ben Coady.
The Wildcats had 15 shots on goal and held the Wingers to 10.
Both teams held possession evenly, but the Wildcats made the most of their opportunities.
Brady Holst made seven saves for PIZM.
The Wildcats face Lourdes Tuesday in Pine Island while Red Wing will play Sept. 10 at the Kasson-Mantorville tournament.
