Brandyn Oliver unloaded on Plainview-Elgin-Millville Thursday in a four-goal outburst that gave the Lake City boys soccer team its first victory of the season in Lake City.

Oliver scored two breakaway goals, got a rebound goal off a penalty kick and knocked home a pass from Nick Ziebell for his fourth goal. Oliver also assisted on Elijah Kroll’s goal.

“They fed him up field and his shot was on tonight,” Tigers head coach and Brandyn’s father, Paul Oliver said. “He took advantage of all his opportunities tonight.”

The victory made up for a 9-3 loss Tuesday against La Crescent in La Crescent.

Oliver had two goals and Kroll scored one for Lake City (1-3) in the loss.

The Tigers face Cotter Tuesday in Lake City.
