A fire on Sunday destroyed a single-family home in Welch.
A fire on Sunday destroyed a single-family home in Welch.
Red Wing Fire Department responded to a call on Other Day Road in Welch Township. Firefighters extinguished the fire after about 45 minutes and spent a total of more than seven hours on the scene, according to a statement.
The home was a total loss and the detached garage had major damage from the flames. Two other nearby homes also have heat and smoke damage.
No injuries were reported, but the local Red Cross was on the scene to provide assistance, officials said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
