Josh Thygesen didn't allow a hit until the seventh inning as he led the Aces to a 9-3 win at Wanamingo. Thygesen gave up two hits, including a three-run home run in the seventh, and lasted seven innings.

"He pitched a great game," Red Wing player/assistant manager Andy Gibart said. "He was keeping the ball down in the zone, which was huge for him."

Dave Jensen and Tyler Goering each had three hits and a double for the Aces. Jensen drove in four and scored three times while Goering tallied one RBI and one run.

"We got the big hits when we needed to," Gibart said.

Jake Laffey added two hits and two RBI. Red Wing finished with 11 hits and was aided by four Wanamingo errors.

Red Wing improved to 9-2 overall and 5-1 in the Classic Cannon Valley League. The Aces travel Wednesday to Eau Claire, Wis., to play the Cavaliers.
