The Bears’ offensive woes continued Friday as they lost at home 5-1 to the Metro Merchants.
Cannon Falls, which finished with seven hits, has scored four runs in its last four games.
Dan Venn suffered the loss. He surrendered five earned runs and nine hits over five innings. He struck out three.
One of the positives for the Bears was the pitching of Rich Burr. He allowed one hit in four innings of relief.
The Bears dropped to 6-7. They play host to Northfield on Sunday.
