People who know Goodhue High School senior Olivia Drehmel best say she is a quiet leader, working diligently behind the scenes to make every project she participates in the best it can be.
"Olivia has always been quiet and reserved, but confident in her abilities to both organize and adjust to anything that comes up," said math and science teacher Ed Stern. "She ranks near the top of all the students I have taught."
Drehmel's parents have always encouraged her to do her best in school, telling her that if she does well, she'll do well in life. Her parents' advice has made her a firm believer that if she studies hard, she will be able to reach her goals.
"If my grades start to slip, I just have to work a little harder to get them back up where I want them," Drehmel said.
