Caledonia/Spring Grove broke the Section 1AA East game open by scoring five runs in the fifth and went on to win Tuesday in Caledonia, Minn. The home team finished with 13 hits -- 10 more than the Tigers.
Errors also were a factor in the game as Lake City committed four and Caledonia/Spring Grove wasn’t charged with any.
Jake Griebenow suffered the loss, allowing seven runs over 4 2/3 innings.
Zach Griebenow had the best day at the plate for Lake City. He finished 2-for-3 with a double.
