Cannon Falls tied the game 1-1 in the top of the sixth inning Saturday night in Dundas, but the Dukes answered with a run in the bottom of the inning and that was the game.
“Taylor Pagel had our RBI,” manager/player Keith Meyers said.
A sacrifice fly – not one of the Bears’ eight hits – brought Cory Hedeen across the plate.
Matt Neuger got the win; Meyers took the loss.
The Bears made four errors on the night, but they weren’t factors, Meyers said. The Dukes earned both runs, and they came off Tyler Jones’ bat: The first was a sacrifice fly and the second was a single.
Cannon Falls is back in action Sunday afternoon at home.
