Lake City ended its season Thursday night in Winona by collecting just one hit.
The Tigers could not generate any offense off of Cotter pitchers Lauren Bowlin or Nikki Kwosek. The two combined to strike out five and allow only one walk in the Section 1AA East tournament game.
The Tigers also committed five errors.
"We had two errors in the first which gave them the first two runs and made us sink in confidence," Lake City coach Katie Luhmann said in an email.
Heather Marking took the loss for the Tigers, going four innings while allowing two earned runs and striking out two.
Emily Skeels led Cotter offensively, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and a double.
Josie Kuchinka, a freshman, collected the lone hit for the Tigers.
"The girls had a great season and will learn from this year and use it to learn for next year," Luhmann said.
Lake City finished the season with a 4-18 overall record.
