UPDATED: Area baseball: Z-M, Cannon Falls earn top two seeds

Zumbrota-Mazeppa received the top seed and an opening-round bye in the Section 1AA West tournament. The Cougars’ first game will be at home on June 2 against either No. 4 Stewartville or No. 5 Rochester Lourdes. Those two teams meet Tuesday.

Cannon Falls was awarded the No. 2 seed in Section 1AA West and will play host to No. 7 GMLOK on Tuesday.

In Section 1AA East, Lake City earned the No. 6 seed. The Tigers will travel to Caledonia on Tuesday to play No. 3 Caledonia/Spring Grove.

All Section 1AA first- and second-round games are slated to start at 5 p.m.

As the No. 4 seed in the Section 1A East tournament, Goodhue will play host to No. 5 Rushford-Peterson at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
