Area girls golf: Lake City 169, Byron 190

Abby Gruber shot a 39 to earn co-medalist honors as the Tigers won Monday's nine-hole dual at Lake City Golf Club.

Lake City’s Carley Siewert shot a 41 on the front nine while teammate Katy Bolduc shot a 42.

"The first three scores were really good for us," Lake City coach Steve Randgaard said. "We didn't get the fourth score we wanted."

Jennifer Schmidt and Annalise Wallerich each shot a 47. Mary Schmidt (49) also played for Lake City.

Jordan Price shot a 39 to lead Byron.

The Tigers are back in action Friday in the section tournament. The event starts at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at Eastwood Golf Course in Rochester.
