Cannon Falls survived a huge Eagles threat in the first inning and earned the win on the road.
Lourdes loaded the bases and scored one off of Cannon Falls starter Michael Growette, but the Bombers caught a line drive and doubled off a Lourdes runner to get out of the inning. Growette didn't allow a single run following this inning and Noah Callister pitched a scoreless seventh.
"Getting out of there with one run was pretty fortunate for us," Cannon Falls coach Bucky Lindow said.
The Bombers got a run in the third off a double steal, scoring Nate Zibolski. After that, the offense clicked.
"Then the hitting came alive," Lindow said. "Zibolski, (Cedric) Dicke; those guys really blasted some shots."
Dicke finished 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI, while Zibolski ended up 3-for-3 with a triple, two runs and a stolen base.
Cannon Falls improved to 10-6 overall and hosts La Crescent today for a 1 p.m. game.
