Brianna Kircher hit a run-scoring triple in the top of the 13th inning Thursday in Elk Mound to give the Lakers their 15th straight conference win this season.

"It was quite a battle there," Pepin coach Matt Bellerive said of the marathon game that lasted two hours and 40 minutes.

The Lakers were down 3-1 with two outs in the top of the seventh but scored two runs to send the game to extra innings. Both teams scored a run in the 12th inning before Kircher's game winning hit in the 12th.

Breanna Ellison earned the win in the circle for the Lakers.

Pepin (18-1 overall) is trying to go undefeated in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference. It’s last hurdle comes Monday at home against Spring Valley/Plum City.
