A pair of walks and a pair of singles was enough to give Eagan the 3-1 win in 10 innings Wednesday evening at John Burch Park in Cannon Falls.
Cannon Falls player/manager Keith Meyers estimated that he put only one or two regulars in the starting lineup.
“We put a young lineup out there,” Meyers said. “A lot of guys hadn’t had a lot of at-bats yet tonight.”
The Bears only mustered two hits and didn’t record an RBI in the game.
Michael Banitt started for the Bears, going six innings and surrendering six hits. He didn’t walk or strike out any Eagan batters.
Dan Venn suffered the loss. He went four innings, giving up four hits and three earned runs.
Zeke Williams scored the lone run for the Bears. He went 1-for-3 with a stolen base.
Cannon Falls dropped to 4-3 on the season with the loss and plays host to the Lyon’s Pub Warriors Friday evening at 7:30.
