Area boys tennis: Shattuck-St. Mary's 4, Lake City 3

The Sabers' No. 1 doubles team of Jimmy Lee and Jason Oh came from behind to win 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 to clinch the dual for Shattuck-St. Mary's in Lake City.

Not only did Lake City's top doubles team Andrew Schreck and Landin Burdis win the first set Tuesday, but they also led 4-1 in the third set.

"(They) made some mistakes, tried to do too much (and) got a little nervous," Tigers coach Dave Toole said.

Lake City received victories from Kurt Brown at No. 1 singles and Christian Custer at No. 3 singles. The No. 3 doubles team of Cole Erickson and Logan Adler also won.

The Tigers concluded the regular season with a record of 6-6. The seeding meeting for the Section 1A tournament is Wednesday.
