Emily Ryan drove in Anne Lodermeier with two outs in the bottom of the eighth to lead Goodhue to a 6-5 victory over host Faribault Academies; however, the Wildcats followed that up with an 11-1 loss to United South Central and a 8-4 rain-shortened loss to Wabasha-Kellogg.

Ryan, a junior, also drove in a run and scored a run in the sixth inning Saturday against Faribault Academies. She finished 2-for-2 in the game.

"It was her biggest game of her career so far on the varsity level," Goodhue coach Chris Irvin said. "She's been hitting with more confidence recently."

Ashlyn Stecklein, Paige Gadient and Lodermeier -- three of Goodhue's top four hitters -- also had productive days at the plate. Stecklein went 5-for-10 while Gadient and Lodermeier both finished 4-for-10.

"If we can get the top four batters going there's a good chance we can score a couple runs every couple of innings and give a good challenge to any team we play," Irvin said.

Lodermeier was the pitcher of record for Goodhue (3-13 overall) in all three games.
