When Lake City and Cotter Schools met on May 2, the Tigers came out on top 4-3. On Monday, the Ramblers avenged that loss with a 4-3 victory in Winona.

"They picked their game up and we didn't this time," Lake City coach David Toole said. "(We) did not play well."

Toole also mentioned that Cotter switched around its doubles teams, which turned out to be an advantage.

The Ramblers won the Nos. 1 and 2 doubles matches.

Tigers seniorKurt Brown picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory in his No. 1 singles match against Grant Gernes.

"He's an outstanding player," Toole said of Brown. "He will be sorely missed next year."

The Tigers play host to Shattuck-St. Mary's today.
