Struss wins free-throw contest

Red Wing’s Morley Struss won the Minnesota Knights of Columbus state championship free throw shooting competition at Bloomington Kennedy High School.

Struss hit 20 of 25 free throws on March 26 in the 12-year-old girls bracket.

She advanced to state by winning the local contest at the Red Wing Family YMCA and the regional contest at Rochester Lourdes High School. She made 12 of 15 shots at the local contest and 24 of 25 three throws at the regional contest.
