4/18/2011: Ethan John Finne, 3

Ethan John Finne, age 3, St. Paul, received his angel wings on Saturday, April 2.

Ethan John was born on Jan. 24, 2008, at Children's Hospital in St. Paul. Shortly after birth Ethan was diagnosed with a genetic condition called mucolipidosis type II or I-Cell disease. Ethan was the best son, brother, grandson, and nephew anyone could ever ask for. Ethan's family finds great comfort that he is now free and able to do all the things he couldn't do here on Earth. Ethan will forever be our hero, and heaven is one lucky place.

Ethan was preceded in death by his cousin, Jacob Finne; great-grandparents Oscar and Rowena Finne of Red Wing.

Ethan is survived by his parents, Scott and Tara (Stevenson) Finne; sister, Emma Finne of St. Paul; grandparents, Jim and Gayle Finne of Red Wing, Minn., and Jack and Debbie Stevenson of Bethlehem, Pa.; along with many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at Cremation Society of Minnesota-Edina Chapel.
