Stillwater Lift Bridge closes
The Stillwater Lift Bridge is now closed. The Minnesota Department of Transportation closed both directions of the bridge at 9 a.m. this morning under the watchful eye of about 10 spectators.By: Jackie Grumish, New Richmond News , The Republican Eagle
The Stillwater Lift Bridge is now closed.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation closed both directions of the bridge at 9 a.m. this morning under the watchful eye of about 10 spectators.
Officials close the bridge when the water reaches 86.2 feet. The river is currently at 86.45 feet in Stillwater, Minn.
It’s unknown when the bridge will open again. MnDot officials suggest commuters take alternative routes at Highway 243 south at Osceola or Interstate 94 at Hudson.
