Area softball preview: Pepin Lakers

Key returning players: Tasha Heit, Kayla Meixner, Breanna Ellison and Ali Murray
The Lakers will have a great deal of team speed, Pepin coach Matt Bellerive said.
“We will try to be very aggressive and use our speed to our advantage every chance we get,” he added.
Pepin has some power as well. Ellison hit .350 last year and was named second-team all-conference. Bellerive called Ellison the “most powerful hitter I have ever seen in high school softball.”
