Lake City firefighters evacuated the Bronk's Thursday evening after fire broke out in the adjacent Radio Shack.

The fire apparently started before 7:30 p.m. in the block near Highway 61 and Center Street. Radio Shack shares walls with the Bronk's Bar & Grill on one side and a jewelry store on the other. The jewelery store was closed when the fire occurred.

By 9 p.m., Lake City Fire Department said firefighters had contained the blaze, which did not spread to the neighboring buildings. Lake City was assisted by Zumbro Falls and Wabasha fire departments.

The Fire Hall is located nearby, which may have been a factor in extinguishing the fire so quicklky.

There were no injuries, officials said.
