Area dance team: Pommier named coach of the year
The Minnesota Association of Dance Teams named Carrie Pommier the Class A Coach of the Year. She guided Cannon Falls to the 2011 high kick state title. The Bomber Dance Team also took fourth in jazz this year.By: R-E Sports Staff, The Republican Eagle
The Minnesota Association of Dance Teams named Carrie Pommier the Class A Coach of the Year. She guided Cannon Falls to the 2011 high kick state title. The Bomber Dance Team also took fourth in jazz this year.
It was the second high kick state title Cannon Falls won during Pommier's tenure.
"Our rich tradition of success and pace-setting would not be a shadow of what it is today without her," Cannon Falls assistant coach Erin Hawkinson said in a press release.
Pommier and the rest of her staff resigned at the end of the season.
