Red Wing girls 12U hockey team returns to state
The Red Wing girls 12U hockey team advanced to the state tournament in Grand Rapids. It's the third consecutive year the team advanced to state.

The team includes goalie Anna Vagasky, Alexis Kennedy, Emma Gorman, Emily Hart, Lexi Stewart, Caitie Turcotte, Mykaela Peterson, Taylor Heise, Sophie DiNatale, Nadine Marty, McKenzie Hanson, Madelyn Hardyman, Nicole Oberding and Carley Marty. The team is coached by Bob Oberding, Matt Hardyman and Jason Hart.
The Red Wing girls 12U hockey team advanced to the state tournament in Grand Rapids. It's the third consecutive year the team advanced to state. Red Wing won the District 9 championship by defeating Fairmont, Albert Lea and Mankato. Red Wing won the region tournament by beating Lakeville Black 5-3, Edina Black 4-1 and Edina White 3-2. The state tournament begins Friday. Red Wing will play Moose Lake.
