Peterson-Jirak

Luke Michael Peterson and Jennifer Catherine Jirak were married Aug. 7, 2010, at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Little Turkey, Iowa, with Rev. Nicholas March officiating.

She is the daughter of Jerome and Gayle Jirak of Waucoma, Iowa. He is the son of Brian and Joyce Peterson of Red Wing.

Maid of honor was Jaclyn Jirak of Odry, Czech Republic, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Susanna Esker of Kansas City, Mo.; Donna Albertson of Rochester; and Amber Stevenson of St. Paul, sister of the groom.

Best man was Danny Boyd of Roseville, Minn. Groomsmen were Jason Jirak of Chandler, Ariz., brother of the bride; Brent Fairman of Bloomington, Minn.; and Drew Stevenson of St. Paul, brother-in-law of the groom. Ushers were Ted Toegel of Red Wing, cousin of the groom; and Zach Esker of Kansas City, Mo.; Brent Albertson of Rochester; and Jacob Holm of St. Paul.

She graduated from Luther College in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree and from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2010 with a master’s degree in plant pathology. She is employed as a research associate at Pioneer Hi-Bred in Arlington, Wis.

He graduated from Red Wing High School in 2003 and Luther College in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree. He is employed by Fraser Residential Services in Minneapolis.

They live in Deforest, Wis.
